After finishing High School in 1972 I worked at several odd jobs at a lumber yard, a fiber glass manufacturer, an aircraft manufacturer and a year as a muffler man. In the aircraft plant I worked in the building that assembled the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit,Freso) cars, I swept the floors HA HA, no really!! In December 1975, I entered the Air Force flying off to San Antonio for basic. I was trained at Lackland AFB as a Security Policemen and was assigned to the far north in April 1976. I'll never forget it snowed the end of May at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Seventeen months later I received the assignment of my life, Bellows AFS, Hawaii. Linda and I were married by this time and traveled together to Hawaii. She was at Hickam AFB and I was at Bellows AFS on the other side of the island. We had a great time in Hawaii, but were dirt poor. After 3 years in Hawaii we were discharged and returned to San Diego, CA.

We soon learned that civilian life wasn't much fun (no money) and re-enlisted after 79 days. We were assigned to Mather AFB, CA. From Mather we were introduced to the Far East, a year at Kunsan AB, Korea. Off time was great, but the duty really sucked. Then my last assignment as a Cop I was off to Williams AFB, Arizona. From Williams I attended basic electronics and wideband radio school at Keesler AFB, MS. After six months I was afforded the rare opportunity of an assignment to Patrick AFB, but as a member of the 2nd Combat Communications Group (too many green trucks). We did a year at Homestead AFB, but were blown away in 1992. We returned to Patrick and I retired in 1996 from the fixed communications squadron.

For 8 months after my retirement I attended college full time. I worked part time from home as an Internet provider help line technician. Then someone offered me a job and I couldn't pass up the money. For about 2 years I worked in a Network Operations Center (NOC) monitoring VSAT satellite networks. I then landed a job back at Patrick working in my old shop, but as a worker. I was real disappointed in the government job and found my present position at Bellsouth. I've nearly made it four years with Bellsouth. It’s a pretty good job; no one bothers you if you get your work done safety. Want to know more?? Look at my other links off the Home Page
